Dynamo-Sliven to produce wind generators and machines for electric cars

Bulgarian automotive and machine-building products manufacturer Dynamo-Sliven will kick off the production of wind power generators and engines for electric vehicles in 2011, the company said on Thursday.
The product will be presented at major exhibitions next year, Dynamo added without disclosing the equipment's projected capacity.
Currently, wind power plants in Bulgaria use turbines produced by German Siemens and Danish Vestas. According to data of domestic renewable energy associations, the country's installed wind capacity at present stands at 380 MW.
Dynamo specialises in the production of automotive alternators and generators and exports a major part of its output to the US, Russia and Ukraine.
Last month, Chinese carmaker Great Wall Motor Co unveiled plans to launch electric cars assembly at its car plant near the northern town of Lovech, which is scheduled to come on stream in 2011.
In February, representatives of Britsh fund Quorus Ventures told Bulgaria's prime minister Boiko Borisov they would invest BGN 100 million in the construction of a factory for electric cars near Stara Zagora.
